Another McIntosh open-pollinated variety from the Central Experiment Farm in Ottawa, Canada in 1898. Introduced in 1909. An aromatic dessert apple that is ripe early to mid-August when the skin is flushed with broad, broken, pinkish stripes that cover one to three quarters of a pale greenish yellow to almost white ground. Flesh is white, fairly firm, crisp, fine-textured and moderately juicy, with a refreshing, vinous flavor.
