Honeycrisp

Honeycrisp (Malus domestica ‘Honeycrisp’) is an apple cultivar developed at the University of Minnesota. Released in 1991, Honeycrisp quickly became a prized commercial variety. The fruit has bright red and pale green outer skin and a cream colored crisp yet juicy inner flesh. With a sweet yet slightly tart flavor, Honeycrisp is great for snacking, salads and sauce−making.  It has a relatively long shelf life when stored in cool, dry conditions.
