Raised in Japan in 1930 from a Golden Delicious-Indo cross. Named Mutsu in 1948, renamed Crispin in the United Kingdom in 1968. Crispin name adopted in parts of the U.S. in mid 1980s. Fruit is pale, creamy white, firm, fine-textured, juicy, somewhat sweet. Ripens late October.
